The Blue Skies Club is a student-led organization aiming to promote mental health awareness and education within and outside the Myers Park Community. This club will tackle certain subjects such as depression, stress, trauma, resilience, coping, and many other widespread issues facing Gen Z. While Blue Skies does hope to help those understand mental-health issues, it is NOT a support group or “therapy” centered club. Students will be able to discuss and understand such topics with varying levels of severity which hopefully as Myers Park students will make an impact within the community to help and support others.

The Myers Park French club is a student led club for students who are studying French in school, or just take interest in the language and culture. The Genders and Sexualities Alliance, or GSA, is a safe space for Myers Park students who identify as LGBTQ+ or are active supporters of the LGBTQ+ community. Meetings are a blend of relaxed social time and “business” (outreach, education, history, current legislation, etc). It is a wonderful place to meet new friends and celebrate our identities. The GSA meets in LA219 on 1st and 3rd Mondays from 2:30-3:30.

Greenhouse club is a student interest club that revolves around the education of environmentally based activities like harvesting, aquaponics, and gardening. The Harry Potter club is a student-led club that allows for pupils to connect over their passion for the Wizarding World. Alongside trivia competitions, wand designing, critical analysis of the novels and other magical activities, the club gives back to the community by reading the books to young children at elementary schools, helping to further education and passion for reading. Multicultural Cooking is a culinary-based club dedicated to educating students about cultures globally, by creating and learning about their popular cuisines. The Myers Park Maker club aims to inspire creativity and encourage the development of technical skills through making in a friendly and low stress environment. Club members meet at least once a month in the school makerspace to learn and build things with 3D printers, a laser cutter, and a variety of other tools. Skills including CAD and vector design are taught to take advantage of these fabrication techniques. The club offers training and lessons on how to operate the tools the makerspace offers. In addition, the Maker Club encourages entrepreneurship and service through making things.
