The American Red Cross Club provides opportunities for students to address our community’s greatest needs. Members are empowered with the lifesaving knowledge to help our school and community. Being a part of the American Red Cross Club will be an excellent way for students to make meaningful differences in people’s lives and positively impact our community. Among peers, members will maximize their talents, learn new skills, and meet new people. We plan to host blood drives, donation drives, and a fundraiser, make thank-you cards for donors, and advertise other blood drives in the community. We hope to see you there!

Bagels for a Better Tomorrow is an outreach club that works to inspire students at MPHS to give back by indulging in acts of service to better our community. Poppy's Bagels and More donates excess bagels to be picked up by club members and dropped off to local soup kitchens and other organizations. Our vision is to influence the members of Myers Park to take initiative and help by giving back. All MPHS students are welcome, but please be prepared to commit your time to help distribute bagels.

Building Bridges is a student led organization that works to empower the education and lives of young elementary school students in the Charlotte area. During Covid-19, many elementary students fell behind on their reading and math skills during online school, so our mission is to provide further understanding in their challenging subjects. Not only do we work on homework and worksheets, but we also establish lasting and impactful relationships with the students. By commuting to the elementary school after school and meeting in-person with the kids, we are able to help them succeed in school!

Cargo for Combat is a club that focuses on showing appreciation for our military and first responders. We put up donation spots where anyone can donate. With club members, we later package up the supplies and make cards. We then give them to first responders in the area or ship them to active military bases.

Clothes for Change is a student-led nonprofit organization that works to empower women and girls to create positive change in their communities. Through our annual clothing sale, bi-annual gala, and other fundraising initiatives we work toward providing scholarships to MPHS students to help attend college. The CMFC Creative player club works with the Creative Player Foundation. The CPF is a nonprofit organization that provides access to after school educational enrichment opportunities and sports education to children in at-risk urban communities. By removing the socioeconomic and cultural barriers due to cost, we aim to use the soccer ball as a motivational tool of education and opportunity. We do various services for the kids including: donating food and clothes, improving the kids education through tutoring, spending time with the kids to just have some fun and play some soccer, and so much more! Soccer knows no language!

Cookies for Kids Cancer is a student led nonprofit organization where we work together to provide money and insight towards children with cancer especially kidney cancer and leukemia. From the yearly Cookies for Kids Cancer bake sale in Park Road to monthly contributions and bake sales surrounding Myers Park and our sport led occasions, we are able to support and provide funds toward children's cancer. CFKC is a great opportunity for students to become involved with school, use baking as an output, and raise awareness for children in crucial conditions.

Fostering Futures partners with Foster Village Charlotte, an organization that helps raise money to provide certain necessities for families taking in Foster children. Furnish For Good is a local non profit organization founded in 2019, that works to help individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness, poverty, and other dire circumstances. Furnish For Good runs drives to collect furniture and other things people might need when moving into a home. The Furnish For Good Club at Myers Park will work to bring the work Furnish For Good does into the MPHS community and help students to get involved in the organization and support the organization through drives, volunteer opportunities, and other opportunities.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home, along with helping those without a home. Last year our club participated in room in the inn, building events, wrapping birthday gifts for young underprivileged children, and more. Hi everyone, we are Hopeful Hearts! We have been a club at Myers Park for two years. In our club we pack and handout bags and for the homeless population with necessities such as water bottles, socks, crackers and other things like that. In each bag we will write an encouraging note on a little heart, therefore our name, Hopeful Hearts. We do this because in Charlotte, the homeless population is very high and growing everyday. We hope to have a great impact on the school and on society by bringing people together to make and pass out these bags.

Humane Society of Charlotte Club is a student led organization that services animals who are homed at the Humane Society of Charlotte. Humane Society of Charlotte rescues animals in the Charlotte area and rehomes them. Our club's mission is to volunteer and help in any way for animals in need. No Need For Speed is a student-led nonprofit organization formed to spread awareness about safe driving and raise money for B.R.A.K.E.S., a defensive driving class specifically targeted towards teens. Different fundraisers throughout the years will be held to promote safe driving and educate teens on the dangers of speeding. Roastin' for Research is a nonprofit organization founded in support of cancer research at UNC Chapel Hill’s Children’s Hospital and Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN). It has raised around $300,000 through oyster roasts, silent auctions, and fishing tournaments since 2021. The Myers Park chapter will continue the mission of the founders by working hand in hand with the organization and shining light on the cause. Through fundraisers like oyster roasts, toy drives, and raffles the Myers Park Roastin' for Research chapter will contribute to the community and increase awareness among students. The Myers Park chapter of Roastin' for Research will provide many volunteer opportunities to students at Myers Park and a place to connect others in the community.

Our mission is to unite the Myers Park community in supporting families facing medical crises. As I am a teen board member of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), I am passionate about extending our impact. Through meal teams, cookie crews, and food drives, we foster community engagement and provide support to RMHC families. Additionally, the food pantry at RMHC is often scarce so we do food drives for their most needed items. I know the teen leadership at RMHC and therefore will be able to combine our club with the house events. Join us in making a meaningful difference, one meal, one smile, at a time. RMHC aims to provide comfort and care to families with sick or injured children by offering a "home away from home" near hospitals, where families can stay together during medical treatment.

Senior Citizen Socials is a club dedicated to finding ways for current Myers Park teens to connect with elders, specifically those living in retirement homes. This club seeks to offer companionship and share time with the senior community. We hope to be given the opportunity to visit local retirement homes and encourage mutual learning and growth between these generations. Through simple conversation, exchanging stories and laughter, or playing fun games- we aim to lift spirits and show compassion! TLC The Learning Continues is partnered with The Learning Collaborative preschool in Grier Heights. TLC Preschool is a non-profit organization that provides a tuition-free, high-quality education to at-risk families. Our goal is to enrich the preschool experience for children living in poverty. Renown Collective is a non-profit Organization headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. It partners with villages in Uganda and Malawi to implement clean water initiatives, focusing on water access, sanitation, and hygiene to ensure community health. The Renown Collective Chapter at MP will raise funds to build water wells in Africa, as well as spreading awareness. Our club would be matched with a specific community/tribe for direct communication, enabling our club members to witness our fundraising efforts in action. Through monthly meetings and quarterly fun-fundraising events, students are able to witness the direct impact they have on lives across the globe.
